Spain Men Jornada 6: Perfect Terrassa Face the Side That Just Scored Seven
Five wins from five gets you a target on your back. On Saturday it gets CD Terrassa a visit from the most entertaining side in Spain.
Junior FC scored seven at Carpesa in Jornada 5, five of them before half-time. Terrassa’s perfect 15 points were built the other way, on control and a penalty stroke in the last two minutes to beat Club de Campo. Saturday in Terrassa is attack against discipline, and something has to bend.
The wounded giants game: Campo v Tenis
Club de Campo lost to Terrassa in the cruellest way last week, ahead, level, then beaten by a stroke at the death. RS Tenis lost their unbeaten record the same weekend, 3-0 at home to Polo, and gave up top spot doing it.
Now they play each other. Both sides are too good to lose two in a row happily, and one of them is going to. For Campo, at home, it’s a must-win if the title race isn’t to become a Terrassa monologue by November.
A derby anyway
Terrassa gets its derby on Saturday after all, just the other pairing: Atlètic Terrassa host Club Egara. Atlètic won 3-1 in the Canaries last week, Egara edged Sanse Complutense 2-1, and city games in Terrassa don’t care about league positions. Hockey is a religion in that town and both congregations are out on Saturday.
The rest of Saturday
RC Polo, who ended Tenis’ run, host Carpesa, who shipped seven and will spend the week drilling their defensive shape. FC Barcelona, finally winners after beating Sardinero 1-0, host Taburiente, beaten at home by Atlètic last week. And Sanse Complutense host Sardinero, the league’s only pointless side, in the game Sardinero simply have to take something from.
Jornada 6 fixtures — Saturday 24 October 2026:
- Club de Campo v RS Tenis
- Atlètic Terrassa v Club Egara
- CD Terrassa v Junior FC
- RC Polo v CH Carpesa
- FC Barcelona v UD Taburiente
- Sanse Complutense v Sardinero HC
Our take
Junior are the great entertainers and Terrassa are the great survivors, and survivors usually win these. Terrassa stay perfect, Campo bounce back against Tenis, and the league settles into the shape it’s threatening to become: Terrassa in front, everyone else arguing about second.
