Spain Women J6: Junior–Valencia on TV as Winless Taburiente Face a Canary-to-Catalonia Double
The Liga Iberdrola reaches Jornada 6 this weekend, and the standout is on television. Junior FC host Valencia CH on Saturday at 16:30 CEST (7:30 pm PKT), live on hockeytv.es. Junior at home are always a watch; Valencia will have to be near-perfect.
The team with the toughest weekend wears yellow from the Canary Islands. UD Taburiente, still without a point, fly to Catalonia for two games in two days: Egara on Saturday at 10:30 CEST, then CD Terrassa on Sunday at 11:00. That’s a brutal ask for any side, never mind one chasing a first point. If they come home with anything, it’ll be some story.
Meanwhile the leaders keep rolling. Castelldefels HC beat FC Barcelona 2-1 last weekend to stay top, and Barça’s men at least kept their end up with a 1-0 win at Sardinero through Pepe Morán’s 55th-minute strike. The Catalan derbies never disappoint.
On the men’s side, the Jornada 6 preview is already on the site: Atlètic Terrassa against Egara is the headline act, with RC Polo playing twice and Barcelona hosting Taburiente’s men on Saturday.
Our take
Watch the Taburiente double. Two away games, zero points, a cross-country trip: this is the weekend that defines their season either way. And if Junior–Valencia is half as good as the TV billing suggests, Saturday evening is sorted.
The men’s side: our Spain men Jornada 6 preview, the Spain junior women’s Czechia series, and the Leagues hub.
