Women’s Hoofdklasse Round 6: Two Perfect Records, and One of Them Plays the Bottom Side
Five games, five wins, twice over. The women’s Hoofdklasse has two perfect records, and Sunday is about which one blinks first.
Den Bosch and SCHC both sit on 15 points. Den Bosch got there louder, winning 2-0 at champions Amsterdam in the last round, with Frédérique Matla the league’s top scorer on nine goals. SCHC got there the SCHC way, a 2-1 win over Hurley and no fuss.
Sunday’s split screen
Den Bosch host Victoria. Victoria are bottom, pointless, and already beaten 5-0 at home by Pinoké and 8-0 at Kampong this season. If Den Bosch’s perfect record survives anything, it survives this. The interest is in the goal difference column by full time.
SCHC’s test is real. They go to Pinoké, who won that 5-0 at Victoria and can beat anyone on their day at home. Of the two perfect records, SCHC’s is the one in danger this weekend, and they know it.
Amsterdam have to answer
The champions are fourth on 10 points after losing at home to Den Bosch, and they go to HDM on Sunday. HDM have three points and a long season ahead of them, which makes this exactly the game Amsterdam can’t afford to make interesting. Win comfortably, and the Den Bosch defeat becomes a bad day. Struggle, and it becomes a pattern.
Elsewhere, Rotterdam, level with Amsterdam on 10, go to Hurley (9 points) in the round’s quiet pressure game. Kampong host Oranje-Rood, who beat HGC 2-1 last round. And HGC, still pointless, host Bloemendaal in the game both sides will have circled since the fixture list came out.
Round 6 fixtures — Sunday 25 October 2026:
- Den Bosch v Victoria
- HDM v Amsterdam
- HGC v Bloemendaal
- Hurley v Rotterdam
- Kampong v Oranje-Rood
- Pinoké v SCHC
Top of the table: Den Bosch 15 pts (5/5) · SCHC 15 (5/5) · Amsterdam 10 · Rotterdam 10 · Hurley 9.
Our take
Den Bosch roll on, that’s the easy call. The season’s first real plot twist is waiting in Amstelveen, where Pinoké either end SCHC’s perfect start or confirm that this league has exactly two teams in it. For our money SCHC survive it, just, and the two-horse race stays a two-horse race into November.
