German Bundesliga Women: Mannheimer Hit Three, Berliner Edge Alster, Hamburg Win After Penalties

Saturday’s German Bundesliga women’s card was a mixed bag: two clean 3-0 wins, three one-goal games, and one game that needed penalties to settle it.

Mannheimer were the most convincing winners of the day, beating Köln 3-0 at home without conceding. Grossflottbeker matched that scoreline on the road, winning 3-0 at Münchner, which is never an easy place to go and keep a clean sheet.

Berliner had the tightest win of the card, edging Alster 2-1, while Harvestehuder beat Düsseldorfer 1-0 in the lowest scoring game of the day. Sometimes one goal is all it takes, and Harvestehuder will happily take the points however they come.

The odd one out was Hamburg against DSD Düsseldorf, listed at 6-3 and marked as decided after penalties. Bremer rounded out the day with a 1-0 win at Mannheim, another game settled by a single goal.

Saturday’s scores

Münchner W 0-3 Grossflottbeker W
Berliner W 2-1 Alster W
Mannheimer W 3-0 Köln W
Hamburg W 6-3 DSD Düsseldorf W (after penalties, as listed)
Harvestehuder W 1-0 Düsseldorfer W
Mannheim W 0-1 Bremer W

Three wins by a single goal, two by three, and one that went the distance. That’s a league where nobody is getting anything for free right now.
