Hamburg Derby Double: Alster and HTHC Both Win Clean Sheets on Friday Night
Friday night in Hamburg belonged to the home sides. Two derbies, two home wins, two clean sheets.
Club an der Alster 3, Großflottbeker THGC 0. Martina Reisenegger Lillo did the damage, scoring in the 7th minute and again from the penalty spot in the 58th, with Juliane Grashoff’s 57th-minute strike sandwiched between. Großflottbek never really got into it, and Alster’s defence did the quiet work that derby wins are built on.
Harvestehuder THC 2, UHC Hamburg 0. Katharina Kiefer’s 24th-minute goal separated the sides at the break, and Philin Bolle’s 47th-minute penalty corner gave HTHC the cushion they needed. UHC huffed but couldn’t find a way through.
Both results keep the Hamburg pecking order intact heading into the weekend’s bigger fixtures. Sunday’s headline is the Volvo ERB Topspiel: Rot-Weiss Köln v Düsseldorfer HC at noon, live on Dyn.
