India players celebrate at the Asian Games 2026

Mohali Is Ready: Free Entry, Two Semis on Wednesday and the ACT Final on Thursday

When the Asian Champions Trophy leaves Jalandhar after Monday, it heads somewhere it has never been before. Mohali’s Olympian Balbir Singh Senior International Hockey Stadium, in Phase 9, hosts the knockout stage of a major international championship for the first time, and the city is getting ready for it.

The schedule is set. Wednesday 4 November brings the two semi-finals, at 4:00pm and 6:30pm PKT, plus the classification games. Thursday 5 November brings the bronze-medal match at 4:00pm PKT and the final at 6:30pm PKT. Entry to all of it is free, and there are cultural festivities planned around the games.

That is a big deal for a venue that, according to Mirror Now, has hosted domestic competitions and exhibition games but never a tournament of this size. Mohali now gets the sharp end of an event that has already produced 27 goals on its opening day and a title race between two unbeaten teams.

Who actually plays there is still being decided. India and Malaysia are already through, and South Korea pushed their way to six points with Sunday’s 5-0 win over Bangladesh. The Japan v China Sunday result had not been confirmed when this piece was written, and Monday’s last league day, China against Bangladesh, Malaysia against Japan and India against Korea, settles the final four.

One thing is already clear, though. Whoever reaches Mohali will walk into a full house with nothing to pay at the gate, and a final under lights on Thursday night. That is how you finish a tournament.
