Richmond and Teddington Joint-Top in England’s South Division as Marlow Stay Perfect in Conference West

England’s club weekend had a familiar look at the top and a perfect record kept intact further down the pyramid.

The South Division produced the weekend’s most open games. Old Loughtonians beat Clifton Robinsons 4-3 in a seven-goal game, Sevenoaks lost 5-2 at home to Richmond, and Teddington beat Indian Gymkhana 4-2. That leaves Richmond and Teddington joint-top on 15 points, with Hampstead & Westminster three back on 12. Richmond’s win at Sevenoaks is the statement result of the three: winning away by three goals against a side that fancied its own chances.

Down in Conference West, Marlow are the team nobody can touch right now. Their 4-0 win over Havant made it six wins from six and 18 points, with Havant second on 13 and Exeter University third on 12. Elsewhere in the division, Team Bath Buccs won 4-2 at Exeter University’s second team, Cardiff & Met’s second team won 3-2 at Chichester, and Ashmoor won 4-2 at Trojans. Marlow’s start is the sort that wins leagues early, and the chasing pack already need them to slip twice.
